AP Racing USA have released details of their brake upgrade for the Mk3 Focus RS

    Features:

    • Saves 17-20 unsprung lbs. from nose vs. OEM brakes
    • Allows for smaller diameter wheels & tires to be run (many 17″ wheels will fit)
    • Far more variety and less expensive 20mm thick pad choices vs. OEM Brembo
    • 325x32mm, 70 vane AP Racing disc
    • Fits front RS forged OEM wheel with 3mm spacer, and ST OEM wheel with 10mm spacer
    • Every component designed to resist the heat of extended track sessions
    • Pistons sized properly to allow for seamless integration with OEM master cylinder and ABS system
    • Designed to work with OEM rear brakes

Turns out AP Racing UK haven’t got their kit ready yet this was from USA.

I know Revo are due out with theirs soon. Forge have one out. Alcon will hopefully bring one out aswell.

    Ah ha!

I spoke to Pete Collen a few weeks back and he said they had no plans to release a big break kit for the Mk3 RS. I know Pete from years back as they used my Mk1 as the dev car for the big front brake kit and i had the first set on my car 🙂 Hopefully they will release a front AND rear kit 🙂

Yes I emailed Pete after reading about the US AP kit.

Another avenue to try is Graham Goode Racing UK as they may have something in the pipe line 😉 I think they will make some brackets etc to make an existing kit fit the RS.

Interesting. I see Wilwood do a front and rear kit for the ST but they said it wouldn’t fit the RS….I thought the set up was the same on both cars apart from larger front discs?

They are released. £2400 for the front kit. I have been speaking to them to try and sell the products through the club.
Fancy a set for the next track day?
