Hiya, well i’m back in an RS after 25 years of running various Nissan Skylines.

Found a one owner magnetic grey ,66 plate under 5k miles, with the mountune 375 kit or a good price.

Found the VEERING STEERING! All the tyre pressures were way high, corrected them, but still feels a bit squirrelly about 80 leptons in 3rd?

Whats the verdict on here about dropping to 18″ wheels and bigger 40 profile tyres? Thinking about OZ racing  in white?

    Anyway i love the car!

welcome ! I read lots of American posts on their forums where fitting 18″ wheels ( for their winter tyres) totally cured the veering. Would be great to hear what you find if you go that route.

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

I checked my pressures and set them to the book.

In my adjustments mine does not veer at all.

    Now here is my findings.

The depth of tread is the factor as well as the tyre pressure.

So my front have worn to say 5mm left 6mm right.

    Rear are both 7mm.

Two hands on the wheel no fight or pull and i’m trying to make it happen.

Recon i could pull out now to over take with one hand on the wheel with no scare of being pulled in to the car on my left PHEW………

    Will keep you updated.
