Backfire in normal mode?

My RS is backfiring in normal mode (thought it was supposed to be just sport), don’t think is supposed to do that and what ever you think of the sound its something from an engineering perspective you would want to avoid.

Anyway I called the garage and they say its normal, ‘it’ll back fire over 4k in normal and sport just more aggresivly in sport.’

Is it normal to backfire in normal mode, anyone else had this?

Mine has done it in normal mode

Yep mine does it in normal mode too. Not as aggressive and a lot let double pops than sport. Tend s to be a bit more when the car is fully warmed up.

Mine too and you don’t need to do 4k revs.

I found changing to v power after running the collection tank changed it also.. backfired in normal mode.
