Really 95 octane is pretty much all you need if you are driving reasonably normally! Even the odd squirt and blat round the rev counter is fine on it, you would only be the slightest bit close to reaching the knock resistance limit of that octane rating if you were totally flat in 5th then 6th gear and were holding it wide open for like miles maxing out mph especially if ambient air temps are up. ( or had 4 passengers and are driving up a steep mountain with wide open throttle in too high a gear! )In this winter weather unless you have a wild tuning map and no knock control on the motor and have more boost you wont be in the pinking zone at all. Its designed to run on 95. if you are doing a track day in the summer or drive like an animal on the road for miles on end, then fit 97 or 98 or 99 octane.

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

For anyone that has a Costco near them, they do 99 octane and around 5p per litre cheaper than momentum. You do need to be a member though around £30 per year.

    Hi mike

I guess its easy to get caught up in the whole octane rating malarkey but I thought that fuels like v power etc have added cleaning benefits to stop build up of carbons etc so long term offer a cleaner healthier engine plus better MPG, not that were too worried about that as current/future RS owners lol
