its the catalytic convertor fast heat up cycle. The ecu holds the throttle open and the ignition is retarded a whole load so exhaust temps get hot quick so the cat is more efficient in catching and converting unwanted emissions.. basically.

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

600 when fully hot?  are you sure nobody has remapped it and set the idle speed lower in the settings? they are normally pretty rigid at 750 or 800 I cant remember exactly . The dealer will be able to plug it in and speed it up a bit.

no, should be ok, when someone loaded the map they probably set a low idle speed out of personal preference.

Unless mapped lower, the hot idle speed should be steady at 750 +/- 50 rpm   When I was using the Mountune M400R map it was 900 rpm

Cold weather should have no influence on it.

Was the 375 map via a handset or loaded by the dealer?   If by a handset, you could try re-loading the map.
