Devil Developments – Opinions Please

Hi

Im looking at getting my Mountune m400r forged and also turbo upgrade done. I do not want to go back to Mountune now for this work based upon the state of the company and the comments I’ve read on this forum related to it.

What are the opinions of Devil Developments? I called them just now and Chris who I spoke to was very helpful. Not booked anything in yet.

So what’s the general opinon? 🙂

added bonus is they are a lot closer to me than Essex!

I found them to be good at the work they have done, they didn’t build my engine they did everything else thou.
Lee isn’t the most talkative chap and your better off writing a list of everything you want doing.

I found Chris very helpful he even collected me from near Reading due to train failures and Covid to collect my car.

The cheaper built engines you need to ask the power and torque ratings of the parts being fitted and weigh that up against where you aim to be.

The relatively economical cost of their in car build may escalate if you require better Rods & Pistons, ARP bolts or the inclusion of a deck-brace or getting the head ported etc etc

So would I use again “YES” is the confirmed answer. even thou they are a 10 hour round trip.

I would highly recommend.

DD are responsible for an awful lot of the big power Mk 2’s.

I know at least 2 people who live up in Yorkshire who wont go anywhere else.

Won’t be close to you but Dreamscience’s forged engine prices seem reasonable.

In fairness to DD, whilst their communication maybe lacking – from the homework I did their customer database would suggest they are pretty solid.

Indeed, thy were my second choice after Mountune (pre troubles) for my forged route and in fairness my second choice for custom tune after Sabre.
