They’ve got some nice reviews. I’ve read they tend to be a bit more hardcore than Mountune.

I’ve never tuned a car before but there’s no doubt this car is begging for more power. I’ll have to see how I feel next year, I still feel like I’m getting to know it at the moment.

I can vouch for it, pulls far harder than the standard car does, to the point where on some twisty roads I feel almost like it has too much power to be fully utilised safely! Got a set of throttle body and manifold spacers on with a RAMAIR filter which seem to compliment it well, need to get a rear motor mount next I think, can literally feel the engine bucking in the engine bay!

I just wanna drop a feedback also about the Ultima remap.

I ordered it at Monday, delivered today morning here in Switzerland. Seems FedEx using the same map for their trucks because it is very fast!

I drove my Focus now since February and it has now 3566km on it when I did the remap today. The RS is at the moment nearly stock except Milltek exhaust. The remap worked really easy and perfect in the first try. Never did that before but it is very easy! Before I always replaced the chip in my Cosworth ECU by hand which is more difficult that this remap process!

Then I went for a testride and drove really soft and safe until the car was ready to use. First pull was in 2nd gear and I was just shocked first if this is real or I just forget how strong the RS is because did not drive 2-3 days. Then my testdrive went on and I did some 2, 3 and 4 gear pulls and this is just INSANE! The car literally JUMPS forward like a hunted deer. I really love it, also pulls on autobahn from 6th gear at 120km/h are stronger and faster than before! In my opinion it pulls harder than my Audi RS4 2,7l Bi-Turbo from 0 to 150km/h for sure! Higher speeds I did not achieve today on streets because we had a snowstorm today…in April…This is really an AWESOME map and job by Dreamscience! Looking forward for a bolt-on mod of Dreamscience for mods like exhaust, induction, wastegate and all that. just awesome!

You only have to buy the dreamscience stratagem device and you get 3 maps?

I am interested in jumping the mountune train and try another tuner.

    Couple of questions :

Does the handset contain a stock map or it reads your car and keeps that as stock ?

Do the developers offer some customisation of the tune if you have additional hardware ?

Is this device we need to buy the same as the one on offer here in the forum ?

    Thanks in advance

    @George

My device I bought directly at Dreamscience because I am in Switzerland and there is no VAT so had it for same price and even if i paid more it was worth it!!

I had 3 files on it, the 99, the 99+ and the DS Ultima. I never did something like that before but it is well explained and worked in first try perfect!

You just plug it in and follow the manual step by step. The device stores your STOCK file on the device and then loads the map you have choosen. you also can change where is the rev limiter or the idle rpm. but i left all stock and just put the Ultima on it. when its completed you can disconnect and store at your home. As soon as there are new maps you can just reset car to stock, plug the device to the computer and update it by internet. then repeat first step to store STOCK file on device and load new map on the ECU. really easy and the power feels just sick! Was today again on the road and it is just crazy how the car is pulling!

I used handsets before i know how they work.

I am tuned by mountune and currently sitting at 400hp with their tune but a while back i updated the handset and the stock map as lost and i cannot recover it.

This is why i asked if a stock map was installed in the device, because if it loads my map now, it wont be stock but it will be mountunes map.

Do you have a power figure or know how much power the ultima map delivers ?

The mountune map i am using was proclaimed 380, but with the periferals my car has, it goes up to 400.

thanks for replying back to me.

    Hi George

I dont know what power and torque the Ultima is about. The next lower map is the 99+ which delivers from their dyno runs around 377PS and 570NM.

So the Ultima is over that but how much exactly I dont know. The map is for stock car but it will run on modified cars too. My car is modified with following mods : Milltek exhaust, Forge wastegate actuator, air intake. it runs good and had no issues so far and did already over 200km with it.

For stock file i dont know. maybe you can reset the device to a date before your update? I will reset my car to stock just before I update my handset when there is an update. it is also written to do so in the manual from Dreamscience. Maybe you can ask Ford for a stock file? Think this will be more or less always the same. just make sure you have the PCM update on that stock file and not an old one.

ipwnswiss, do you feel that the actuator made a big difference to how the car drives? I’m installing the turbosmart one on Monday!

ipwnswiss, can you please tell how much preload you have on the forge westgate?

I tried 3 turns and it throws engine check light on hard throttle and DS Ultima
