Exhaust

Hi guys.  Just bought the car.   It’s got a mountune exhaust which sounds awesome however occasionally it looses sound and goes very muffled. It doesn’t last long  but quite annoying any one know what’s going on here ?

Is it the exhaust valve closing? Look up the exhaust On the near side and you will see the valve, on cold start up it’s open, then once warm enough it closes, unless valve delete is fitted or in sport mode

I have mountune one and no issues In regards to your issue. Would def check the valve as mentioned above. Not much else can be expect partial broken cat.

Thanks lads or lasses ( this is 2021).  Looks like the valve is sticking. Had a bloke today say a bit of WD sprayed up there should sort it ?

Thanks Daz. Think that’s the plan then. It did it again today twice just when I needed some base to terrorise some innocent people sat relaxing outside a restaurant 😂😂.  It doesn’t stay muffled for long so at least managed to shock a few on the way home 👍.
