Here another upgrade. LED light for lighting found on ebay.
    Complete replacement lamp, plug in.

Price for one lamp 5,99 € plus shipping.

The lamp is one to two millimeters smaller than the original, but can be fixed with a drop of hot glue very well.

    original lighting

    with an LED light

If I have built the cable, I make a picture with two lamps.

    Sorry for my bad english.
I have to take for a lot of the Google translator. 

Another way to get more light, standard light/bulb fitted with reflector made from self adhesive foil tape.

Foil tape stuck to itself with adhesive                                 Foil tape fitted                                        original on left / reflector on right

round edges to stick to fitting                                                                                                                           same standard bulb in both

Trialed on bench for 20min, gets warm but not hot.

Extra light now fitted in RS at a cost of £2.97(piece of 2 core cable now soldered on), company car focus owner very nicely donated one of his lights.

Shame on Ford for this penny pinching move.

For those who are not satisfied with two lamps, here is a variant with four lamps.

Found on ebay for 39,90 € plus 6,20 € shipping to UK.

I couldn’t live with all those cables either, I think they are for his sounds rather than the extra lamps though?

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

I have a serious OCD affliction when it comes to exposed cables. I went to great lengths when installing my dash cam to ensure everything was hidden, even passing the cables through the tailgate rubber tubing. I have the same issue when doing home electrical/plumbing work. I’ve been under the house, crawling under the suspended floors just to lay some speaker wires, room to room! Then they bring out wireless sound systems, lol.

Agree with you. I could not live with all those cables showing, must have cable OCD as well. It’s the same with any installation it needs to be tidy and if it’s an add-on, not seen. Would drive me mad every time I opened the boot.
