the problem with the mk4 was that they included lots of extra equipment as standard and did away with the cheaper st1,st2 versions so all that cost had to go on the price of the car regardless of whether you wanted those options or not, therefore it was out the reach of most folk and sales show that.if they ever did make an electric rs in the future then i hate to think what the price of one would be

@Dave, that must be fully loaded, then add extended warranty and service plan and your getting the thick end edge of £43k

Way to expensive. I looked at the MK4 ST prior to selling my Focus RS MK3 and for similar money I managed to get myself a Mercedes A35 AMG Premium Plus, fully loaded. I wanted an auto and as stated above, by the time you choose auto, sun roof and start to add the options, you’re well past £41k.

That’s RS money in my book and I’m sorry to say, the Focus ST is not that good, imo any way.

Yeah, If its £42k for the ST, The next RS will be knocking on £50k which isn’t going to sell because of the no haggle policy. At least traditionally you could get 20% discount on the ST which would make it mid £30k’s which maybe bearable to some (Not me!).

Would anyone part with £50k for a new RS?. I’d want 500hp+ for that money.

And a car that was as perfect as could be without needing to mod it to make it as it should be.
