Found the water source and fixed!

Been having issues for ages with water in my boot lid and back footwell…. More or less everywhere checked and pulled apart, with he help of a few named storms i found it…

The seals round the bolts for the spoiler, 3 in the middle and the 2 each end!

Looks like ford use screwfix sealant with bits of old balloon to seal bolts and screws ☹️

Sealed good and proper now, and most probably never be able to change the rear spoiler ever! ?

I heard a rattle in my boot and stripped back loads and couldn’t find it. After another go, I found these same bolts loose and rattling. Glad I sorted it by the sounds of the trouble you had! I never got any water ingress though.

It’s great to know because sometimes when I wash the car I have the back board of the box which is wet so I will be able to repair this leak.
