    Day 1 – got it home and parked up,

    Day 2 – wee run to Stirling and back…engine management light…into Ford it went..

    Day 3 – Engine management light on again…in to Ford it goes…leaves Ford, engine management on around half an hour later…park up…

    Day 4 – try to start car…not happening…engine management light flashing and won’t even turn over…into Ford it goes….

    I would be so annoyed.

    Did you/they find out what the DTC was?

    Hope they fix it and get it back on the road soon!

    Sorry to hear your news, but it should be a simple electronic reset the engine management system has got it’s self in a muddle. Hope you get it sorted asap

    May be best to mention its a year old with 8000 odd miles and not a brand spanker?  Dont panic chap, as Bobcat says, will bound to be a minor glitch.



    No nothing.

    No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

    Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Looks like a new engine required, they’ve got to strip it down to confirm but looks like it. Cylinder number 2 is f*cked and full of water.

    snap1980 on the ‘other forum’ says his cylinder number one is £ucked and full of water, I do hope we don’t have a troll trying to stir up negative stuff ! Photos would be good.

    the last owner probably noticed the coolant level dropping, topped it up, traded it in, and then pop. not good, but at least you get the very latest spec engine.

    Sorry to hear your Mk3 RS ownership didn’t start so good but as you say glass half full you will get a new engine!
