    Phil,

I have EXACTLY the same problem. My garage is 2340mm and the RS fits in ok. I just fold the mirrors in and after a few goes I just sail in now. The mirrors don’t auto fold out on start up so just do that once you are out.

Here’s mine in the garage. I’m a bit taller (34″ waist) and I get in and out no problem. I have door guards and mats on the wall so all good.

    Go for it!

Hope this helps, give me a shout if you need anything else.

Oh god, after driving the focus RS the type r and Hyundai N performance have got no chance. 1000000% I only want an RS. The RS blew the others away.

    Yeah at 46 I have a 32 inch Waist 😉

Stu-c thanks so much for the advice and pics. Your making me re-think my decision now :0

If you don’t mind me asking what is the distance from the door to the wall?

The dimension from the wall to the driver’s side is 380mm with about 50-75mm on passenger side.

I get in and out with no problem at all.

OMG thanks so much Stu-C that is some top help. Really appreciate you doing this with tape measure as well in bare feet on a cold floor. And my I also congratulate you on some pretty special parking :0

I have a little less room than and it would be so tight. I worked out having 30cm to get out leaving 15cm on other side, although you got it much closer than I thought was possible.

You won’t need 150mm on the passenger side – honest.

At the end of the day, you need to be comfortable and I know how that goes. Luckily, my wife has a Cmax so I tried that a few times to make 100% sure.

You know anyone with focus who you could sweet talk into lending it to you?

Good luck whichever way you choose.

No I don’t know anyone with a focus. After a hard week of talking with the wife to be, I will be getting one next year when we buy a new house. I will be looking for a MK3 RS in next year. The girlfriend thinks it is not the right time to buy now.
