Well, if it makes you feel any better, I test drove my first RS (Escort Mk3 Turbo) in 1993 and my insurance pulled out at the 11th hour so had to give the car back before I drove it out the showroom. I swore I’d have one and ended up waiting another 25 years (house, marriage, kids…) before I got my Mk3 RS. Worth the wait!
