    Hi guys,

Does any of you have any experience or have heard anything about kaptuning.co.uk or experience or info about the use of fast road cams from pipercams.

Their youtube video caught my interest especially reading the description for the youtube clip (Autoblip on downshifting). Also interesting with the fast road cams from pipercams.

    Here’s the clip.

I’ve used Pipercams primarily the BP285 & BP285T on road cars. For fast road use on a lot of Ford Engines from 1600ohv, 2000ohc, 1600cvh and they give a good strong pull all the way to the redline, power from around 2000rpm to 7000rpm from memory.

    RS Edition.

    FPM375 Rocks

The rest of the “M” maps suck

there is a mode the rs has to be dyno’d  in and it ain’t awd. bda will be along with the link soon.

Ah okay, i thought it could do both. But what do i know.

I’m still very interested in the autoblip on downshift though. That would be awesome for me at least.

    And pipercams seems interesting aswell.

it can be done in both but the rear wheels rotate 2-1 so cannot see you getting accurate dyno results in awd mode.

only me !   basically pull the rdu fuse or as I found and copied and pasted from focus rs .org..

    Focus RS Dyno Mode

Having troubles dynoing your wonderful Focus RS?
Never fear! The guys at the factory had to dyno the RS too, but as you all know, there’s difficulties getting ABS, traction control, and so on to work nicely with the oversped rear-end.

While digging through the RS ECU, I found a sequence of events that will activate an easter egg dyno mode, setting everything up for those beautiful dyno pulls (no pulling fuses, no disconnecting driveshafts, etc.)
Thanks to @GreatWhiteBuffalo for helping me verify the existence on a production RS!

The top-secret confirmed sequence to activate Dyno Mode:
    1) Start with car off.
    2) Enter Accessory (single tap on the start)
    3) Hold clutch and brake to the floor for the rest of the procedure
    4) Enter and exit Reverse gear 6 times.

At this point, your ABS light should flash, TC should disable, and you should now be in dyno mode! All that’s left:
    5) Start Vehicle and dyno!

The mode disables if it detects rear wheel movement greater than 10mph, or if you turn the wheel more than 80*.

    Happy dynoing!

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Hammy how can you state these guys dont know how to dyno an RS and avoid when you clearly have no idea what you are talking about?

The dyno at KAP is a MAHA linked system, same as used by Litchfield, and Angus a very knowledgeable operator.

Run plenty dynos in my day and seen so many cheats on getting  numbers. I don’t know there Dyno but I doubt it runs different speeds front and rear. I may be wrong but in my eyes would make sense to use the Dyno mode that ford built in and used to set your car up when it came of the line.

Well, let’s forget about Dyno’ing and Kaptuning for a moment then.

What about the autoblip on downshift thing. Anyone has it or anyone heard anything about it?

The front and rear wheels don’t run at different speeds, even if the drive to the RDU is over sped, the RDU clutch packs make the rears rotate at the same speed as the fronts.

if they didn’t you would be spinning the rears 24/7.

Ofcourse you can make the rears spin, if the lose traction which is probably the reason most synod can’t cope.

When I had M380 I had my car dyno’d same day as a stock car and a FPM375 all in 4WD and they all made the stated figures give or take 2-3hp.

here we go full blown keyboard hero to justify his shit mountune figures on a dyno run it in the dyno mode and I grantee it will run the figures mountune state.

really mate could not give a toss what you say. you have had your car on a dyno now your dyno king of focus jog on.

see where I would start mate do an HNC in mechanics and when you get that move on to pressure then load then weight then fluid dynamics. get the idea before you comment on stuff you clearly have no idea about.

yeah no doubt ill get the usual shit on here but the fact is this is the reason the car scene is dead in uk have been in it since I was a kid.

go away do your research and do it yourself instead of paying somebody to do it then you understand what it does and how it works fact.

    Shit figures?

Don’t think you read what I wrote or maybe you can’t comprehend it.

No warrior here, your aggressive post would seem to suggest the pot calling the kettle black.
