    Just taken it down the local industrial estate and it’s all good, could be over doing it on the wheel cleaner

    Okay folks had a chat with the boys in work and came up with a plausible theory, rear brake pads are low so could have lost the remaining pads material on the inside of the disc as in come off completley. I’ve thern pumped the brake pedal to make the gap back up. Will order pads this week  and get them changed

    yer, probably “imagined ” the pedal went to the floor because of lack of braking when pushing pedal hard and expecting it to stop, theres no way the pedal would go to the floor unless there was a huge fluid loss or if somehow the brake pads had been somehow pushed back into the calipers. Probably just a mix of degreaser and water on the discs/pads momentarily reducing friction until it was cleared/dried orf.

    No nothing.

    No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

    Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

    @paulie

    Morning mate!! If you’re Pads were worn right down to the metal it would be grinding like F**K every time you braked mate!!

    If it’s just happened once it’s probably a combination of cleaning products and surface rust on the Discs that’s disappeared after a good press of the pedal.

    If it happens again it could be a Master Cylinder issue?? Try getting into the habit of always trying the brakes after pulling away just to be sure that you’re pedal is sound!!

    Cheers, Marc.

    Hi folks just to update, changed the rear pads and one of the inside faces had tapered off down to virtually no material. measured the new pads before fiiting them they had 9,25mm of material on them. I’ve had no brake issues since so hopefully that’ll be the end of the matter!
