After the North Yorkshire Moors run i thought we’d be a bit more adventurous and head out to the Lake District. I did the same run last Autumn and it’s a cracking day, a long one but worth it. Plenty of great roads with excellent photo opportunities. I thought it would be easier to take our own food with us than trying to book in somewhere and be pinned down to a time.

Meeting point Wetherby Services on the A1 postcode LS22 5GT @08.30 hrs

Here’s a link to the route we will be doing

    https://goo.gl/maps/fy6ukvroc8vH5CMK8

    Basically we’ll be going Wetherby service>Harrogate>Skipton>Settle>Bowness/Windermere>Ambleside>Rydal Water>Grasmere>Thirlmere>

    Keswick>Derwent Water>Honister Pass>Buttermere>Crummuck Water>Bassenthwaite>Pooley Bridge/Ullswater>Kendal>Hawes>Aysgarth>Bedale>then onto the A1 to head home.

Post on here if you are interested.

    Cheers,

    Daz

Hi Daz, I’m up for this.

Thats a great route and I will wait for you passing on the A59 Blubberhouses/Menwith hill if that’s okay with you.

Be careful on the A59 they have a mobile speed camera that they like to move around on that road.

I am up for it providing my dental procedure isn’t causing me too much of an issue.

Wouldn’t mind joining this, if possible meeting you as you hit the A590? I could wait in the first lay-by and join from there. Travelling from the west coast so would be a bit much to meet at the start. Not sure what time you’d hit the A590 though but could sort it. Let me know if that’s ok!

Hi Daz. What’s the script for Sunday mate? Any idea roughly what time you’ll be joining the A590?

Marked by red arrow. Just as you cross the bridge over the M6 J36 and onto the A590 the 1st lay-by about 400yds down.
