    The mountune m450 MRX upgrade replaces the OE turbocharger with a Borg Warner series larger frame unit to deliver incredible power output with minimal increase in turbocharger lag, greatly enhancing the driving experience.

    Tested and validated over thousands of miles and countless hours on the dyno for durability and performance, the mountune m450 MRX turbocharger upgrade includes all required hardware, fittings and hoses needed for installation and is the perfect upgrade for customers already running either m400R or m400X.

    The 520 package is £8.2k fully fitted, plus you need to have all the previous hardware and fully forged! The money that all this requires is just getting silly and you’d be mad to spend it. Love my rs but you’ve gotta draw the line somewhere.

    No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

    Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    1/ M520 fitted £8.2k. This kit runs out of puff literally at circa 550bhp.

    The Precision Turbo NX2 was designed from the ground up for the Focus RS / ST Ecoboost engine and runs out at 600bhp giving more margin.

    The Borg Warner wasn’t, its a good off the shelf turbo thou.

    Required –

    2/ Forged Internals fitted £4.9k

    3/ M400x Kit fitted £4.8k

    Total £17.9k fitted

    If you have items 2 & 3 get a set of cams the Piper 285BPT kit and a remap you’ll be around 430-450 dependant on boost. That’s about £1k for cam kit plus fitting and an hour on a dyno

    LOL £18k!!!! I’m sorry but with the cost of the car plus any cosmetic changes you might have already paid for, you could have bought a proper bit of kit that was made for big bhp not a hatchback with a chocolate engine! Still each to there own, I’m sure someone will fork out there hard earned cash on it!

    Agree totally with crunchie – Will seriously look at upgrade from current FPM375 > M400R when warranty expires in April next year. I also have V3 so half way there already.

    Mountune UK dropped the block brace in favour of the way more expensive option of Darton Liners USA site has them, pretty pricey. UK to follow as per the MRX turbo over a year later we get the kit.

    Mountune won’t mention the deck brace as its now only a competitors supplied part.

    Once you change the rods and pistons if upping the power the engine is no longer chocolate.

    “no more” !!    nice at £40000, but not at close to £60000 with options. Plus at 1650kilos its a fatter fat fook than the foocus is a fat fook !

    By the time you’ve added strengthened the drive-train, suspension and brakes, you’re over £60k. Plus it’s still a Ford, albeit an RS. As far as the weight is concerned, sub 4 sec to 60mph seems to suggest it’s not an issue.

    And if not an A45s, then maybe a used GT-R?
