Do a two consecutive days at Blyton? Plenty of camping space, plus people can come to one or both. Reasonably centrally located (unfortunately a fair drive from the M1)

Any agreed tracks and dates yet.

The nights are drawing in now lol.

Me and probably most of us on here would be happy to meet up anywhere.

It would be just great for nearly all the Rs’s in one place at the same time.

Blyton will do a whole day, six at a time club format including Mark Hales’ services for about £3k. Open Pit Lane is just over £4k (weekdays only).

Otherwise Blyton is £275 for one car with all subsequent cars at £137.50 (all plus VAT). My day rate is £500 on top of that, and for that you get my exclusive attention all day – for individual coaching on a one to one basis, or one to a group etc.

Seems a little expensive for Blyton ?

What about doing a block booking with Javelin direct.  You will then get professional marshalling ( I have seen some really Dangerous Marshalling run by circuits themselves as they are unregulated) Track day insurance is much, much cheaper if the organiser is a member of the ATDO.  Blyton themselves are not members of the ATDO.   (Cost me £20 per day)

    http://www.atdo.co.uk/atdo.php?pg=members&ls=all&title=members

We may get 10-20% discount if we have enough interest.  Javelin can then provide instruction for £20 -20 min slots. A MUST for every I think on a new track.

I just did a great day with Car Limits.  Shame its too far south.  But their format is so much fun.  See how fast you can turn around a cone in the morning and learning how to drift and trail brake and then two circuits to split the group in the afternoon.  No insurance needed as it was just around cones.

    £49 for the day.

What dates did you ask for, Kenny? See if you can get off-peak in September. Blyton recently got bought, so could be due to that…

@midi9191 if people could do a Wednesday Javelin are doing a day at Blyton for £119 per car.  If we had 20 people interested I reckon we could get 10% min discount.  That would be awesome.

The RSOC are doing Donnington for National Day at£180 a car and I think it’s 75 cars in three groups each in twenty minute slots.

A proper track would be far better than an airfield especially at that rate £

if you get insured when it’s due if it’s a fair price via the RSOC insurance of ERS Equity Red Star. Track insurance is included for the 6-8 trackdays organised via the RSOC 🙂

I know what you’re saying, but exclusivity is the way forward. 20 cars paying £119 is £2380. I would be very surprised if we can’t hire Blyton in September or October for that. I paid £1500 + VAT (£1800) for an end of June booking (borderline peak season) and that was 4 cars on track and 16 attendees.A double-day is a great way to encourage attendees too (I am a previous Lotus owner and their Owners Clubs are all about the social aspects).

As for Marshalls, Blyton is ran as a real circuit, without the racing. Marshalls are provided, along with Fire/Ambulance services on-site should the worst happen. It was a very professional setup and we were provided with all facilities (toilets, restaurant, eating areas, circuit vantage points, etc.)

Kenny – I can drop my contact an email, but don’t want to intrude on your turf. Let me know.

Maybe a group poll (on Facebook as you get more responses?) about which circuit for a group track day? It would be ideal if you can select multiple answers as I am happy to attend any circuit within a given radius.
