    Thanks Mike.

    I’ve never been to a dragster race myself. But Urs and Jndia Erbacher live next door. Maybe I should pay them a visit one day 😀

    @frenk

    Do your figures assume max power (MP) from 800 rpm to 7000 rpm not taking into account MP is only sustained for around 2000 rpm as it’s a billed up too and tail off from scenario.

    Also as BDA points out air resistance causing friction, which plays a factor the faster you go the more air tries to slow you down.

    Theirs no mention of bhp achieved on this car but I’m guessing it’ll be circa 450-500 bhp as it has extra fuelling and a much bigger turbo.

    Cheers, white-rs2. I do sometimes 150 mph on the German Autobahn, but without chronometry.

    It’s enough to show them the vanishing tail lights – except when I see the flashing head lights of the usual grey Audi RS 6 Avant in the rear view mirror, innit 😉

    The second vid is more impressive , not many mods just the seats removed and in to 11,s

    Also normally I would say that at 123mph terminal it must be around 550bhp but depends if it was fully loaded with seats interior etc , rs is heavy, if so maybe it was more like 600 plus

    yes Robroy, and that was with his old manual gearbox, with the sequential box he must have saved nearly a second on the 1/4

    No nothing.

    No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

    Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

    Harris really do build very good Pintos & X-flows very well respected in the Old Skool Ford scene. I’ve had two X-flows off them over the years, they started, every time, they drove really well, what more do you want. If it’s the same Harris, down Kent way?
