    ok we have an update on the clutch

    so I was originally quoted £40 to make the hd organic clutch

    I have now had the clutch made to the same spec as the mountune clutch i.e

    5 puc one side and organic disc the other

    clutch is ready for collection £130 done.

    @white-rs2

    5 puc or puk is reference to a paddle clutch

    a lot of places are cashing in on using half organic half paddle so I e aide is a round disc the other has x5 paddles (pucs)  these are useually made in phosphorus bronze  some people call them buttons ceramic buttons

    as soon as I go and pic it il il take some photos and put in here

    if you look at the Mountune clutch plate that’s what itl look like

    6 paddles and an organic plate. I was a little surprised when you said 5 as I’ve only ever used 4 or 6 paddle clutches in the past.

    Once it’s fitted and you’ve done abit of running in would really like to know how it feels, how it transfers the power and how it drives would be really interested especially at that price point awesome ??

    @Brembo

    yea as im sat here at work doing nothing surfing I thought id reply.

    I have been on quite a journey with the car and mountune , we were buying the car brand new , and as I have modified cars my whole driving life I decided I wanted to do this one from the off, I wanted to get it done and enjoy it for the length of time we have it (forever originally)

    so after a brief investigation mountune were the brand I kept seeing and knowing they were more expensive than anyone else and the products etc I thought fuck it il go with them.  I have learnt so many times over in the past what you get is what you pay for and I hate buying stuff twice, on that note we bought all the upgrades to m400 before we even got the car I should have known back then it wasn’t going to be plain sailing as I couldn’t buy the kit as a whole from mountune as it was out of stock, but I could buy it in bits (which I did) if the wrong colour hose is in a kit its classed as out of stock they might have a black or grey hose but this kit is classed as out of stock crazy  anyway

    so we had the failed spark plug at around the 2500 mile mark ford tech said faulty plug ford warrenty said m400 map at this point the car was with ford for 1 week.

    we had the initial period of a month where there was no response from mountune at all regarding what they were doing with the issue

    then the indigo gt story where I was having the pte turbo fitted

    my first cost I had to pay indigo gt to put the car back together for mountune so they could collect it and take it away £500

    at this point the car was off the road for 4 weeks at indigo gt

    it was at this time I was told the mountune big turbo kit is not coming to the uk , different market etc will not happen.so I made a choice moutnue internals and warranty or big turbo build I had to choose the internal as I wouldn’t normally be able to afford them.

    when mountune contacted me yes they did offer to collect the car they did and they had it stripped down and inspected within two days within that week it was rebuilt using their forged internals and  as a gesture of their good will enabling them to see why the car had failed etc they did a reduced cost for the kit

    £4900 which was absolutely amazing this included

    rods

    pistons

    baffled sump

    balance shaft delete

    triple pass radiator

    boost hoses

    and the M400X map the first car in the uk to have it

    they also fitted my moutnune brake hoses and my rear mountune carbon spoiler

    so I was happy well as happy as you can be for spending 5k on a car you’ve only had a few months.

    the car was at mountune for 4 weeks

    I had to take a day off work unpaid to collect the car £200 plus travel expenses that cost me.

    my partner drove the car daily and I every other weekend and all was good until 20th January I found my self on the side of the road with a rod through the front of the block not just any rod my rod a forged rod .

    so the car gets picked up by the AA ford assist and taken to mountune where they after a few days inspected it had it stripped down and eventually gave me a list of the damage.
