    I always would prefer a custom tune , but I do like my cobb AP and having the ability to put different tunes on it and monitoring various things   ,shame sabre dont use one ,  the box they can supply for revising the tunes  do you use one ?

    @Robroy

    if you want stage 1 or 2 custom map on your Cobb you could try Litchfield, They did a good job on my previous custom Stage 2 map.

    @robroy

    Once it is custom tuned you don’t need to put different maps on it

    once it’s set up it’s set up

    I prefer now that I do not have that AP I hated looking at it thinking ah is this right is this wrong what does that mean etc I now just get in it and drive , I don’t have to worry about anything as I know it’s set up 100% perfect

    sabre do use the drive modes so I have a low power map on normal drive mode and high power in sport etc etc etc

    set up my custom drive mode also so exhaust flap, diff, esc etc and map is exactly how I want it. Even dialled in the flap settings when I want it open and closed

    when I had AP I had different maps etc I only ever used the one so the rest were totally pointless

    if I want to monitor different things etc I can in my phone

    forscan

    torque pro

    etc ,all monitor and data log, when I did my Germany trip I put on forscan the exact same things as AP can see just to try it and it was fine , I dont even do that anymore tbh but the option is there

    So I thought I didn’t have enough drama in my life

    the car was running too well and then a chain of Mountune inspired events takes place , so in true Nate style I don’t just get a small problem I get the problem where it’s just unbelievable.

    first up we have the drivers side boost hose this was supplied and fitted by MT and when I came to install the water meth I removed this pipe to place an adaptor in it upon removal I saw the pipe had been rubbing on the air con pump not a problem just a light scuffing however on closer inspection the bottom but had almost worn through and holes the pipe!!!
    so a quick disgruntled email to Mountune stating the facts that it’s either a design fault or poor fitment and as they fitted it we should discount that fact ( as they are the experts) it has to be a design fault so I need some sort of replacement I’ve sent 3-4 emails about it to them over the last 5 no that and had no response what so ever 👍👍

    anyway fuck em I checked thier site and low and behold the boost pipes are lifetime warranty so what’s the problem I’m thinking , I contact Samco    Which incidentally turns out to be 10 miles from my house , they were quite helpful I sent the emails I sent to Mountune to Samco along with the pics and they agreed to replace it although they said Mountune should replace them.

    after a week I got confirmation I was getting my new pipe , 2 weeks later I burst the passenger side MT boost hose so again contacted Mountune with pics showing x3 fingers protruding through the split 🙄 again after no response I contacted Samco with pics and they said no they are not replacing the pipe because it was fitted incorrectly .

    i was confused, turns out they were confused they didn’t realise I had two pipes with issues they meant to not replace the first pipe due to fitment error by Mountune  they eventually agreed to replace my burst pipe although again it was installed incorrectly by MT they had put the jubilee clip on wonky donky and it had cut through the boost hose anyway got my replacements thank you Samco .

    i never refitted them I opted for some spec-r hoses instead and man they are awesome they are huge in comparison and they have no restrictions like the MT pipes , the drivers side boost hose from MT starts at like 76mm O/D goes down to 46mm O/D  then back up to 76mm O/D then take into the fact that the wall of the pipe is 5mm thickness that’s 36mm I/D!!!!! That’s crazy so that pipe is only as good as it’s narrowest point and it’s located on a tight 90deg bend not good I’ve got some pics so il add them
