Their are two trains of thought on porting –

    • Polish it to death super smooth.
    • Leave it rough.

Polished to death looks prettier than rough but I’m in the leave it rough group

Wouldn’t polishing expose any cracks to the eye better?

It won’t remain polished for long, within a few miles the polished surface will have carbon deposits. But I get why its done, it does look good.

Be interesting to see gains or losses either way

+1mm over sized valves on the inlet and the exhaust

stainless inlet and inconel exhaust valves

head porting and combustion chamber flow wrk carried out exhaust side has been worked on where itā€™s needed to

I am excited about this Iā€™m expecting in my own head a loss of torque but an increase of bhp

    we will see

So the newest upgrade to the car is the braking system!
not againšŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ˜‚ yea like everything with the RS Iā€™ve found why didnā€™t I just listen to myself and go with what I know the first time around like Iā€™ve done with all my other cars

THE RS world is one of the strangest Iā€™ve been in, everyoneā€™s an expert and you just get sucked in to so much bullshit itā€™s unreal

anyway yes Iā€™ve upgraded the braking system……again

this time for brakes Iā€™m familiar with as Iā€™ve had x2 sets of them in the past and they were great

a brief summary to bring you up to speed

Iā€™ve had stock brakes nothing wrong for a standard road car they died 6mins on track but that was because of the fluid boiling

ive had stock brakes with stainless lines and dot5:1 fluid much better and they perform ok

ive had the revo/Alcon big brake set up Ā not a bad set up tbf works well

Iā€™ve had the mj performance/hispec massive brake kit that stops…… very quickly

Iā€™ve looked at AP 6pot and 4pot and parking brake set up and nearly pulled the trigger same price as mjp brakes at Ā£6k but better quality as you would expect

and now , now I have something very special I am super happy with this set up and il take some pics and do a comparison between the brakes Iā€™ve mentioned and why I went for them
