That heads probably a full race spec unit now should flow so much air, so much more air.
You can’t beat traditional engineered tuning look the dogs that head.

Did you do any volume checks from what you had, to what you now have; but the do look big.

Looks awesome that head awaiting your findings 👍

They said they would go one stage further if he was going to do another one with better valves,he said my valves are trick but he would use proper race spec valves and would profile a cam that’s much better than what I’ve got

Love your determination on this build you definitely want to ring out every bhp that turbo will spin.

After the 285 profile you’ll need to make bigger pockets in your piston crowns 320 profile. You possibly might get away with it with the 300 profile.

But the 320 profile is pretty dead below 2500-3k then it’ll fly 8-8500rpm.

Most race cams are pretty lifeless below 2.5k and become / are pigs to drive.

You just need to do a full (pistons, rods, crank, flywheel, pressure plate) lighten and balance (unless you’ve done it) to make it rev like an R1 Yam 👍

Don’t joke geth this head is so big now I might have to get a bigger turbo to be able to flow what it’s capable of 🤣

see how the hybrid version of mine runs first 👌

    What a day
I mean seriously what a day

put the car back together today which was an absolute mission had help from oil at circuit motors (sabre tuning) and wow we got it done so much work today. anyway now it runs

its smooth it’s quiet it’s slow as fuck

the bloody power steering doesn’t work  , no power steering means no AWD which means no drive modes etc etc so the car is stuck in limp mode , going back to check all earths and fuses I’ve lost communication with the power steering control pump it’s a can bus issue so either a bad earth or faulty connection at this stage. So after I’ve checked every fuse and connection cleaned it etc il them look at the rack itself

    ffs

So quick update on the car

car starts drives runs and now has power steering!
with the help from Jerome testing the steering g rack plug and loom etc we narrowed it down to the 80 amp fuse in the battery cover

swapped that out and it works

    so all those faults  steering

, awd, drive modes etc due to that.

took car for a test drive tie o hose blew off  so refitted and drive again blew off again ffs

swapped out the rear motor mount back to the Mountune one and will check how I feel about it again tomorrow , if I still don’t like it I will reinstall the stock mount but with the power flex bush and will see if I like tha t

the gearbox mount is the Damon one and the shift feels great with that on imo but if it still effects the in car vibration then it’s going

car drives som smooth no nasty surprises etc just need to data log it a few times to see how it’s doing and then maybe optiMise for power and see what happens

Love the updates. Looking forward to hearing what power this will make and how usable it is. Whats the plan with that spoiler? Are you trying to match the ends with nitrous blue?

James  they are lovely looking mounts very well made etc but for a daily drive it’s too much vibration for me if it were a weekend toy or track car yes 100% keep them on

    Cheers matt

the power we have no idea as yet I can tell you this

the car is very smooth the logs look great

the turbo is now way too small hahaha the head can flow way more than what my turbo can achieve

we have gained loads of response which is awesome 👌

The exhaust note has changed drastically sounds awesome now haha sabre are going to see what can be done with it but so far the data is good will see what this set up can achieve

next up hybrid or larger turbo
