    @Nateodog

    so long story short.

mountune had the car back !

they collected it , stripped it down , investigated what caused my problem, and fixed it.

so they measured everything checked head skimmed it , honed the bores, measured the bores, turbo etc etc

rebuilt the bottom end using mountunes forged rods and pistons, thier baffled sump oil return system , balance shaft delete, triple pass alloy radiator, black silicone boost hoses, they fitted my braided brake lines, my carbon rear spoiler, carried out 4 wheel lassr alignment fitted one step colder spark plugs, mountune mat set and then to top it off they installed the M400 X calibration on the car , they ran the car in and changed the oils again before my collection all i can say is WOW it has completly transformed the car

thier service thier attention to detail has truley put them firmly back in the good books they have bent over backwards for us to make us happy

    Hi Natedog

Be interested what the actual problem was causing the low top end power?

Have they let you know or just fixed it?

    Cheers

How does it feel with no balance shaft? does it still idle rock steady? can you notice even the slightest bit more of vibration or low end rumble when its running and you are sat in the car?

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

    I can answer that

It is noticeable at idle especially with air con on

but you get used to it after a couple of days

No cannot notice it at all, car is actually smoother and quieter than it has ever been esp with the forged internals , which is weird as all my mates said it would rattle in start up…. nope not here it’s awesome.

ok not even a week in and this thing rips

it’s actually getting borderline scary as it fights you all the way up the power curve

Sounds great now, but what was the fault that caused the original lack of top end power?

Yes all is good now, but please let us all know what was the original problem and how did they fix it ?

Who accepted responsibility in the end if anyone ?

Maybe he’s signed a none disclosure agreement, as no mention of who, what & why and we had tons of detail prior to his Mountune visit
