In short when they stripped it down apart from the knackered plug

 

they found a crushed oil breather pipe from baffle plate to inlet manifold

Obviously the plug

the recirc valve upside down?

and the CPS 1 tooth out causing the timing to be out by 7deg?!?!?!?

 

mountune dis everything they could and then some to make me happy and they have truly done that for full confidence in what they have achieved .

Thank you for that, since i got mine back from head gasket fix  it seems dead (still quick but lacking on standard map), i am sure something is not back together right, your description of what happened is a good place for me to start looking, well the garage i will be going to.

Yes thanks for that, in a similar position to peters, not been happy since the HG fix. Down on top end power.

Be interested how to check if Cam Possition Sensor or cam timing is set correctly.

Is the recirc valve fitted with the “M” at 7 o’clock ?

Guys it is awesome

 

 

I am now completely happy with how the car performs it has so much more torque in tap.

 

 

the car in standard form is great no lag great responsiveness etc etc

 

 

Now just just imagine that turned up to 10 it’s brilliant , it’s super responsive no lag whatsoever

 

flatfoot shifting is excellent

all time launch cintrol is a nice feature you don’t have to do the secret handshake with the car to do it anymore

Small update mountune oil cooler kit now Installed  big turbo build is on hold now ? waiting for prototypes to be signed off  car due back at the end of May.

a small update x2 track sessions at castle coombe very enjoyable and the engine seems to be strong and all good raked up a shed load of miles in this beaut had issues with bridgend ford not covering seat bolster wear under warranty or any other work for tha tmatter very dissapointed

 

 

so we are now using fordthorne ford in cardiff and jame sthere has been a ledgend seat base done seat back done ok they ripped the new back cover but new on on order

 

headlight level sensor on order

passenger side door rubber seal done

very happy

 

 

lots of communication with mountune over the last few months car due to go back in the next 2 weeks or so (overdue 1st service technically)  so all is looking good

 

added led rear light clusters

joffos alloy front undertray

powerflex poly engine mounts

rs bonnet latch surround

rs foot rest plate

tyre decals

 

 

oooo just bought a set of four ps4s so we shall see what they are like when i get home

 

 

also had a little experiment with some vp racing fuels

 

this time with octanium octane booster (maddative) wow wow wow huge difference
