So are these 23mm to match your existing or the generic 22.5

22.5mm. But I clearly said to them on the email that I only want them if they are 4032 grade and they sold me them. Still waiting for a reply and to confirm my return.  I have sourced the mahle powerpak 4032 grade pistons via mahle direct suppliers in the UK.

Theyve removed 4032 from the description as I’m guessing they will no longer be doing the 4032 grade. I’ll keep the carillo rods since they’re here now

    @nateodog

Do you know if yours are 4032 or 2618 mahle pistons?

I’ve bought a set of mahle 4032 grade pistons from Mar Motorsport so hopefully have the rest of my parts delivered this week. Hopefully the garage has sorted clutch/flywheel and timing chain.

Getting king racing rod bearings too since their out the engine anyway.

Mountune still haven’t accepted my return for their pistons they sent me. They emailed me after my initial request with sales patter however totally ignored what I wanted and tried to convince me to keep them. Been a week so far. Terrible service.

Needing a head gasket as well.

J w have a standard one but it’s about £200. Pumaspeed have it for about £70, don’t know why there such a difference there but no stock.

So it’s either Athena and Mountune in terms of getting one soon. Was thinking of the mountune one as it’s closer to stock.

    Any thoughts on this??

I’m sure places would only stock the new head gasket.  I’m getting my mate to get me one from Arnold Clark who are ordering it in from ford.

The only difference I can tell between them would be the old one has 2 holes in-between the rings and the new one has 1.

Finally got everything last week. He’s busy this week so it should be getting built next Monday hopefully.

    Mahle 4032 powerpak pistons

    Carillo rods

    King racing rod bearings

    New oil spray jet

    Standard head gasket

    Standard clutch and flywheel

    New timing chain kit.

Same oil as before the 10w60 and new oil filter which I’ll probably change by the next service anyway.

    Missing my car big time.

Fingers crossed it all goes back together nicely – and you get your car back with a grin on your face
