    Hi  all

Grew up round Ford Escorts as dad and uncle raced a hotrod against Barry Lee and Duffy back in time. I started off in a 1972 mini I claimed from dvla as it was dumped.  After that it was various XR2s XR3s and 3i, then family life took over and spent a few years in a Galaxy. As soon as the kids started driving jumped ship and had some good years from three Subaru Imprezza. Did like the mk2 focus rs but was not willing to give up the AWD. So waited and earlier this year took the plunge and purchase a black mk3 focus rs. Makes me smile every day behind the wheel, although the wife moaning it is too quiet as she liked how loud the Subaru was. So now looking for a nice straight pipe cat back exhaust.

Hope to see some of you around.

    Grant

Welcome grant. Car looks great. I wish my wife liked my car. Lots of exhausts to choose from.

Welcome Grant, Subaru’s do have a distinctive exhaust note, not sure if that can be replicated in the RS.

Hello and welcome. Lovely looking motor. A guy has an Impreza near me and it definitely has that distinctive exhaust sound, very nice. You can definitely add enough noise with the right system.

Hi and welcome Grant. Yes, that boxer engine and exhaust did have a great sound. My Mrs wasn’t too keen with the RS to start with but she steals the keys whenever possible now!

Hi Grant, welcome to the firm. I had a couple of scooby’s so know that flat four exhaust drone you mention. The noise was a bit of a ball ache driving through France to the alps at 100mph, but great around the mountain roads.
