    Hi guys

my name is Phil but I guess you’d already worked that one out. I’m 59, how the he’ll did that happen!? and live in West Yorkshire I’m married with 2 grown up kids both of who drive Fiesta STs we’re very much a ford family. I’m interested in football, F1 and BTCC I like to get out in the dales walking but my knees suffer afterwards so don’t get to do that as often as I’d like.

I’ve had my NB RS for just over 2 years now it’s my daily and has covered 27000 wonderful smiles. My last car was a Fiesta ST2 with the mountune 215 tune which I had for 3 years. Some of my previous cars have included an Impreza turbo and Escort RS and my favourite a MGB GT jubilee edition god I wish I still had that.

I’ve done a few cosmetic upgrades to the RS but have decided no power ones until the warranty expires in December so look out for something then.

I’ll start a thread on my car soon to show you what I’ve done and cover future plans.

High Phil and welcome to the club and team NB! Take comfort in the knowledge that although you’re 59 I can still give you a few years.

    Welcome Phil,

If you are interested, I’m a member of the Aire Valley RSOC. We meet up at the Silver Birch Cleckheaton just by the Chain Bar roundabout on the 3rd Tuesday every month. You will need an RSOC membership.

We have our very first group show this year at Squires on the 28th July.

The group has grown massively in the last year. We now have about 35 cars including all 3 of the Mk3 editions, several Mk1’s and 2’s, about 5 Escorts including 2 cossies, a Sierra, Fiesta and so on – It’s a decent group with a wide range of people and ages.

Contact is airvalleyrsoc@yahoo.co.uk. At the next meet on the 19th Feb, we will be starting to book all of the shows that we will attend as a group for the year.

    Phil,

Are you by any chance the guy I see almost daily somewhere between Copley and Brighouse.

Saw that one this morning just by Lidl in Brighouse.

If so, yours was the 1st Mk3 I had seen after ordering my magnetic grey parked in Sainsbury’s Brighouse.

@philf1: Hi there, coeval mate. Don’t you feel like 19 as soon as you’re in the car? It happens to me all the time. It’s magic 😎

    Thanks for the welcome guys

Dave not me I do pass through brighouse pretty regularly though living only a handful of miles away. I came to one of your meetings but work and caring for aged father make it difficult to get out on an evening. Hopefully try to come along to some meets soon
