I’ve had mine in to fix this too. ’waiting on parts’ so it has been at the dealership for four weeks now. Just as well they have given me a loan vehicle!

Had my one in last week for the oil feed pipe leak and turned out to be leaking from the timing cover. To look at it you would swear the leak was from the oil pipe. Head gasket done again and back on the road in 48 hours.

    Hi All,

Can someone provide me with some ideas/feeback ?  I’ve had my turbo oil feed line/pipe changed and my vehicle was a non-opened motor i.e. no Head Gasket recall was required.

I have read on here and elsewhere that these do often show traces of oil AFTER the head gasket recall work has been done and sealant has not been used per the new instructions for the re-installation of the front timing cover.

Million dollar question is …. what is the underlying issue when a late 17 non HG-recalled/fixed vehicle needs the oil feed line replaced as there is signs of oil leaking ?  Is it that the line itself / banjo bolt / crush washers are an inherent bad design … or is it leaking from ‘above’.  Cheers.

A friend had his banjo replaced at dreamscience who said the banjos are shit and they are looking for an improved version that will fit. They said they replace them on half the cars they service and have replaced for a second time after one year on many. It should be a recal by Ford with an improved part.

I checked mine before it went for service last month and everything was fine dry as a bone, and has been since the 2nd HG in 2019 and done about 4000 miles since.
