P3 Cars’ range of vent automotive gauges are both versatile and effective and early neext year will be available for the Mk3 Focus RS. The firm produces a specialist range of gauges that can be fully integrated into the OE air vent providing a clean and sleek look once installed, while their coloured exteriors mean they can be seamlessly matched to the interior lights, fixtures and fittings of any car you care to mention. This completely removes the negative aspects associated with most aftermarket dials, namely that they have the potential to stick out like a sore thumb – and not in a good way. Available in both RHD and LHD formats, these gauges look like an OEM option – and work as though the factory installed them, too
Though visuals are an important consideration, the gauges’s primary purpose is to convey information in a clear and concise manner, the latter point highly significant when referring to highly turned cars which perform at their best within a relatively small performance envelope. The P3 Cars gauges more than deliver in this respect, plugging directly into the OBD port and mounting neatly into the air vent, perfectly placed for the driver to keep a beady eye on at all times.
The actual data displayed can be almost anything the driver wishes, with critical vehicle metrics like coolant temperature, intake air temperature, ignition timing, speed, RPM (with shift light) and battery voltage all well within the gauge’s capabilities. The P3 Gauge also allows you to read and clear fault codes. The feature we are sure will be used the most however is the 0-60 timer!
We will update when we hear more of their upcoming release. They have been working on Mk3 Focus for a while now however the vertical vent slats are making it more difficult to come up with a design to their high standards.
