Paint spec for the Focus RS low gloss black forged alloys option

Hi guys,

Does anyone know whether the black forged alloys are either:
a) powder coat(ESD) and lacquer
b) powder coat only
c) conventional ‘wet paint’ and lacquer
d) conventional ‘wet paint’ only

Hi Kenny and many thanks. My reason for asking is to try and establish a simple remedial touch up method & colour for small scratches.

Can only speak as I find – think the paint quality is quite poor on the forged options.

The paint seems very thin. Has no depth or shine and marks very, very easily.

I use a wheel clamp and although the edges of the wheel clamp are well protected, it has made a mess of one of my rims, so I too will need to do something come spring.
