    Get yourself a Halfords pro set, 200 piece and that should cover most home tinkering.

    Anything extra needed just get the separate items such as breaker bars and ratchet rings in the same pro series to add too it.

    you get free lifetime warranty and they replace them without issue and without needing the receipt.

    If I was a trader looking to spend good money on a full setup I would recommend sealey or snap on but for general use or even and apprentices first setup I would always recommend Halfords.

    Halfords advances are pretty good to be fair. 1 of my ratchets  failed after 10years of abuse, they just swapped it over with no questions.
