    Another great loss today,

Micheal Collins Apollo astronaut,  hero who brought Buzz and Neil home but never got to dirty his boots on the moon.

Fantastic ambassador for space exploration and pushing the boundaries, also author of carrying the fire a brilliant read and someone who played a key role in developing the Smithsonian Air and space  museum in Washington DC.

Sleep well sir the world will never see another team like yours.

May the Ford be with you

Would of been a fitting memory to say those famous words at him funeral. ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN , ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MAN KIND . Only made possible by his feat , R.I.P MICHAEL COLLINS.

yes, R.I.P Michael Collins.  and still there are small minded losers who insist the whole space program was a hoax !!

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Yes a great loss. Pretty soon we’ll be in a position where no-one on earth has walked on the moon. That is unless we pull our finger out and get it done (again). Collins had the least favourable job and was the most remote human of all time (at the time). RIP…

stu-c and not long after that no one will have been on a supersonic jetliner at mach 2.2 !! the soppy flat earthers will soon be saying that Concorde was a fake and that there was no way  a 1960s aircraft could carry a 100 passengers across the Atlantic in anywhere from 2 hours 50 odd to 3 hrs and a bit !!

haha, BDA. Can you imagine NASA having to use appropriate gender pronouns for the Astronauts or risk of a BLM riot in the shuttle when the token BAME one gets offended when someone says they are “coloured”.

Wonder how long it will be before they have “Earthling Privilege” and “Earthling Unconscious Bias” training for astronauts on their way to Mars.

Got a feeling I must be one of the only people on here to be able to say (proudly) that I saw it on telly as it happened, back in July ’69
