    VERY HAPPY ?

Well it’s producing more boost than their regular Stage2.

They allowed this due to being forged, but more importantly the deck brace and non Ford gasket (Athena).

As a clue it’s putting more WHP down than the FPM375 does at the fly wheel.

I thought it was quick before but now it’s a whole new car and it even sounds much deep with the sports CAT fitted.

In the usual way Litchfield are Power God’s until it goes bang ???? then they aren’t ????

Chris Harris’s M1 was in having Engine work if you can see it in the post above.

Excellent mate!! Glad you’re happy with it!! I’m guessing you’ve got about 445/450BHP at the Flywheel!! Transformed the RS eh!! Bet it feels GOOD…. ??.

    Cheers, Marc.

its docile when in traffic and just drives like an everyday daily driver.

But once you floor that pedal it really does motor, it’s still slower than my old  Mk2 RS2000 Escort, but the Focus out corners it, out stops it, and does three times the mileage for the £££.

And the Escort goes next week to its new home in Wales had that one 18 years.

Hardly really use it to be honest in the last three years just MOT mileage really and one or two dry Sunday blasts.

Had no intention of selling it. I even did the electric power steering conversion last year as parking with a quick rack and fat tyres was hard work and I could turn it on or off as required to keep the steering feel when motoring along.

Just out of the blue an offer came to me which was serious and a deal was done.

So next year if more BHP is required then more fuel will be needed.

So its either 4 larger injectors to replace the OEM or an additional fuel rail and injectors to allow the future replacement twin scroll turbo to achieve more.

Apparently fuel injectors and the delivery pump max out around 460-480bhp

Precision Ford Focus RS 2.3L EcoBoost Performance Turbo Upgrade.

It’s no secret the incredibly fun to drive MK3 Ford Focus RS has a great stock turbo. The twinscroll OEM turbocharger is a responsive and torquey twinscroll design that increases output and response over the singlescroll ST.

However, it is a reverse rotation twinscroll design which means a traditional aftermarket turbo upgrade simply can not fit properly. The only viable solution was to develop an all-new clean slate design. A turbo that is purpose built to bolt on like stock to a Focus RS, but offer the power capability of an aftermarket racing turbo. Designed for an ideal blend of response and top end power in a stock-frame fitment, the billet compressor wheel utilises their latest generation blade aero with 11 full blades (no splitter) for a max flow rate of 65lb/min (spinning Counter clockwise). The wastegate actuator is their high pressure 18PSI actuator. Compressor Housing retains OEM connections with a 3″ hose coupler inlet, 2″ hose coupler outlet.

Ported shroud compressor housings increase surge resistance and provide reliable, continuous power throughout the power band. A dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge prolongs the lifespan and improves shaft balance. The water cooled CHRA keeps bearing housing temperatures low. The turbine wheel is constructed from Inconel, a Super Alloy that maintains strength during prolonged exposure to high exhaust gas temperatures.

The Stratified X4tra 4-Port Fuel System not only addresses both the HPFP and injector shortcomings with a single, plug and play auxiliary fuel system, it also improves upon our existing Stratified Xtra 2-Port Fuel System by providing more precise as well as increased fuel delivery to each cylinder! This is a highly recommended fueling solution when running 500+ WHP with an upgraded turbocharger.

    STRATIFIED X4tra Fuel System

This will be a mixture of the Mountune Cast Inlet and the Mountune fuel rail and not the Stratified fuel rail and injector spacer.

We made sure to pay attention to the little details such as how the air-fuel mixture would be entering the engine. Our system features injectors that are oriented at an angle towards the cylinder head that spray with a split stream pattern to ensure even fuel distribution to each intake valve. This also ensures that each valve is getting the same amount of cleaning from the fuel.

Furthermore, the ports on the spacer are also angle matched to sit between the intake manifold and the cylinder head to keep the transition of airflow towards the engine as smooth as possible. This not only ensures proper air-fuel mixing it also ensures that you don’t lose any power to abrupt transitions that most straight port intake spacers struggle with.

    Mountune Motorsport Engines and Components.

Designed to be used only with the mountune PN 2536-CIM-CA cast inlet manifold, this hardware kit allows the easy installation of auxiliary fuel injectors. Compatible with Bosch EV14 Short Body with 14mm O-Rings. This is a hardware kit only and does not include fuel injectors or any injector driver system. Inlet manifold not included.

    Hard Anodized Finish
    CNC Machined Fuel Rail
Compatible with Bosh EV14 Short Body Injectors

Guardian Angel V3 Overboost Protection w/ 4 Bar MAP Sensor

The GA V3 now includes a 4 bar MAP sensor output at no extra cost! The Guardian Angel’s 4 bar MAP sensor can now be integrated into your vehicles harness replacing your OEM MAP sensor. This feature requires simple tuning in order to work properly. This eliminates the need to purchase a costly aftermarket MAP sensor for your turbocharged vehicle!

The Guardian Angel V3 (GA V3) WITH Adjustable Vent to Atmosphere (VTA) Valve Control is designed to protect your turbocharged motor from one of the worst catastrophes: uncontrollable OVERBOOST! This is the best investment you can make in protecting your tuned turbocharged engine from failure.

The GA V3 VTA Adjust Feature allows you to tune the response of your bypass valve! This is a first and unique to market feature not offered anywhere else. You can adjust how quickly your BOV/BPV releases during shifting and how quickly it closes back up. This feature also allows you to run your BPV/BOV in VTA mode without affecting your fuel trims or idle!

    F%#K ME

Have you seen the prices of uprated fuel pumps for our cars??????

Jesus I thought my old Bosch for the Cosworth was pricey at £189, these new DI pumps are 10x that.

Now that is an OUCH …………

    Cheers Marc

The chase for reliable power from where we are now gets really serious with costs.

With not just the cost of  the parts for power but uprated parts to help keep the car reliable driveshafts (700), clutch (1800), fuel pump (2000) that’s before head and cams (4500) and / or turbo (4000) these are real serious figures around another 13k.

But I suppose that’s no different than the Mk2 changed to Cosworth power had to have the gearbox tunnel widened then that lead to a prop shaft which then lead to a baby atlas which lead the rears being custom turreted then to a 5 linked rear on slipper springs then brakes (as M16 are Lacking) then a central fuel tank and duel Bosch pumps and on and on.

The Escort RS Mk2 was so quick I had to fully cage it to stop flex and make me feel a little safer ???????

I did say after the Mk2, I’d not do this again …….. famous last words ?

Well I’ve decided to junk the Litchfield Map later this year in favour of a Syvecs set up. Their is nothing wrong with the Litchfield it pulls very strongly from low down all the way to the top of the house, with a second surge like its comes on cam. Syvecs option came about when speaking with Litchfield about what next; nothing next with them. As their not interested in going any further than stage 2 (plus a little bit lol) with the Focus Mk3 RS as the R&D time is extensive and costs per market share are excessive business decision – fair enough.

I’ve been doing lots and lots of thinking, reading and reading some-more and speaking to people in relation to what next and planned mods and the general consensus is Syvecs to run all the mods and fuelling. This wasn’t in the piggy bank budget so may delay it a little. I was going to purchase the Precision Turbo in September/October now I’m not ………………………………………………… in favour of the Syvecs.
