I was washing the car yesterday and noticed the bleed nipple and pad retaining pin on the front calipers have gone really rusty, I’ve only ever washed the car and wheels/brakes with a decent ph neutral cleaner and never used any kind of acid on it, I know the car is out in the elements but surely this shouldn’t of happened already, as it’s only 10 months old with less than 5k on the clock, has anyone else noticed this on theirs??

Water + bare metal = rust

Salt with water will penetrate most galvanised. Pretty sure if you take it in to the place you bought it from and have a moan about it they will replace as the are very cheap parts.

Worth mentioning to dealer see if anything can be done on warranty but I doubt it. Maybe worth cleaning it up best you can and get some kind of protectant on it
