Hi Guys just thought I would quickly introduce myself.

I am 35 and new to the fast ford club I am picking my RS up on Saturday coming from a Corsa VXR which I have had for a couple of years.

We also have another ford sat in the garage a mint Escort mk5 Cabby.

Cant wait for Saturday and to start the mods.

She is Nitrous Blue as for mods I will probably go with my usual start and do the air intake. Then look at the sound system depending on what I think to it.

What are peoples thoughts on the standard Sony system?

I have the Sony speaker upgrade sub ect and it’s pretty good.I expect there is better out there but as said in previous posts I had the Mountune exhaust fitted and that’s what I tune in too I love the sound of the pops and bangs.

Welcome James, I also have the upgraded Sony in my RS and think it sounds awful, I would replace it but  like bobcat,listen to the pops and bangs more

Welcome James, the RS is a car that will hopfully make you smile every time you drive it. A lot better ride on long runs than the VXR in my opinion.

I have the Sony upgrade James and personally am very pleased with the sound, certainly better than the upgraded system in my wifes T-Roc

Welcome to the club.  Even the upgraded sound system is one of the worst car audio I have had or owned. It’s cheap rubbish speakers no doubt.  As I normally do short fun drives I’ve listen to the exhaust and pops instead.
