Hi all, this has prob been covered before but I’m gonna put some different springs on my car, want to get rid (or make it better) of the pogo effect from standard, I’d just like a bit of advice from any of you that have had some fitted and made the ride a little better, cheers all

Eibachs here, softer spring than stock so it helps the ride a little, the lowering is good, could be a little more because I like the top of the tire flush with the fender lip but that’s a personal preference. After install the car still aligned within factory spec so that’s good.

I did the buy for the ST springs. Delivery by KW suspension and was same price like Eibach, H&R and all others.

Just went for the spring because I wait for the KW coil over with sport on/off damper. Have seen some pictures already and I think it can be ordered already. will be my next cash out during spring for the coil over. so far I am still happy with the ST springs, rear end is not to low like in the past on the MK2 RS and the front is just perfect!

    H&R -20mm all round.

Having an equal drop keeps the handling trait as Ford intended.

These springs are similar to factory and are linear in rate (STAY AWAY FROM PROGRESSIVE).

They remove to a point, as it’s not noticeable the choppy ride.

The lbs rate is very similar to factory.

A good all round performance spring. Mix in their ARB’s and it’s sorted.

I’ve also got a mountune voucher that’s why I’m heading that way, I’ll fit them myself so it’s only cost of parts

I’m also keen to keep an equal drop all round. Any chance you could share a picture of how the H&R sit?

After speaking with the chap at MT bit concerned these springs will be to stiff and make the ride even worse. Time will tell, reports seem to suggest otherwise, will post my findings later. Otherwise they will come off for something else. Possibly the full DSC active damper/spring package one day.

First impressions on the MT springs.

Journey was from MT HQ,  up the A12, through Chelmsford, then up to A14 and across to midlands, so mainly dual carriage way and couple of back roads.  Used with the DSC still engaged, not tried with the standard module as yet.  Had Sport damper setting on as well for some of the way.

No softer, ( I think they are quoted as higher rates) but where as before the bumps would be jarring and jolt and thump through the car, it now seems the suspension “flexes” and is more compliant and firm but less harsh. The ride seemed pretty good, or I was just getting immune to it after the long drive ..LOL…    Don’t know what it looks like yet, was dark and I put it straight in the garage when I got home.

Pleasantly surprised so far, I do need to get it fully aligned now.

Next will be some local B roads to test the springs and LSD out.

@9designs. Hi Steve did you also have the alignment adjusted? Mine goes in next month for springs and spacers plus Dan recommended having the alignment carried out. Regards Jason.
