    @bobcat

My brother had the lotus esprit (non turbo). He thought he was James bond!

It rattled, gearbox was absolutely awful, not that fast, various functions in the cabin didn’t work and it was just plain difficult to drive BUT…

that thing turned some heads and was a beautiful looking car, especially in James Bond white.

@stu-c, the early ones if not looked after did rattle a bit and to drive them smoothly took a lot of practice.

@Matt-B, the RS 2000 4×4 was it a Cayman Blue one? The reason I ask is because mine went up that way when I sold it?

    mandiscatterbrain,

Maestro turbo! Brings back some memories! You did well if you could stop the rust on those but for the day they were quick. 150 BHP and 0-60 under 7 sec.

Was yours racing green, white or red. I don’t think I saw any other colours?

    1. Started with a Vauxhall Nova Sr at 17, one with a carb mot the fuel injection.

    2. 90 spec series 2 rs turbo in red. Cost me my wages every month but worth every penny. One car I wish I had never sold

    3. Peugeot 106gti. Black, black leather interior. Handled like a go kart right until it got hit by a 40ft lorry and steamroller straight down the side.

    4. Vw golf 1.8 turbo in blue. First dabble into the vw market

    5. Seat ibiza. Peice of sh1t. Didn’t last 12 months. Always went wrong

    6. Vw golf gti in silver. Very nice motor however wanted something quicker

    7. 2004 Subaru Impreza wrx. Uprated brakes, suspension, full exhaust, de-cat, remap. Very quick, very loud car.

    8. Vw golf. Turbo, supercharged, remapped. Great car until the timing chain decided to eat itself. Was never the same so chopped it in. Blew the turbo 2 days after the new owner collected it.

    9. BMW 3 series m sport. Nice car, very firm ride due to the run flat’s. Great fun with the traction control off

    10. Skoda Octavia VRS diesel. 200bhp and 70mpg with vw build quility. Was really impressed by this car

    11. Mk3 focus rs. Smiles per Mile every day

Collins Cp2 map. Ramair induction. Mountune mud flaps. Scorpion Sports Cat. Scorpion Tracker. Wind deflectors. NB washer jets and shark fin aerial. EBC Grooved discs, YellowStuff pads. Airtec Intercooler, Miltek cat back with titanium tips. Collins quickshift. DSC Controller

Stu c if I remember they also done a black one , it was a limited run of about 500 ish , I bought it of my mate initially telling him he’s gonna crash it if he carries on driving the way he was . So I persuaded him to sell , only to right it off myself, now  that’s karma 😩😩😩👍👍

As I said in earlier feed , any one help me locate my old mk 1 rs . Sold to m8 in 2007 and after he wrote it off not once twice , and then spent £4000 getting it back on road , re spray new alloy engine upgrade etc, Pulling over 300 bhp , then sold for &13,000 think it went up north some where , but alas unfortunately unable to locate , gone on build list and put in build number, but not there . Last sighting was about 4 years ago , and it was a m o t fail , let me know if I’m barking up wrong tree 😭😭😭😭👍👍👍I have build number and original number plate number if anything can help would be nice to see her again as it was a reluctant sale , but family come first .

@ mandiscatter,  I take it you have been on the Focus RS Mk1 owners club. If not then see if they have any information
