to me, a puma should look like…

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Puma Racing that’s a special car with a bit of a cult following.

Why didn’t Ford just give it the RS monica.

As it had all the RS attributes wider body, new race suspension, new seats, new brakes and more power a unique engine to that range a 1.7 litre. More actual changes than most RS get.

    RS Edition.

    Front end/nose is hideous……

Would love a racing Puma, Ford should used that restyle as Mk2 Puma years ago, if they had the balls it would have sold like hot cakes.

That’s terrible! I liked the puma, shame Ford is dragging the puma name down the suv crossover route.

I do not get the current obsession with SUVs/crossovers, small Jeep thing that is going on at the minute.

Joe public seems to perceive them as safer cause they higher/ bigger and more practical. In reality they offer nothing over what a hatch or estate car has offered for decades. But then how many footballers wives or socialites have you seen driving an “estate” car.

The photos in the first post are of the ST Line. So if there was to be an ST, it would probably look identical apart from dark Matt grey trim around the front fog lights.

The 48v mild hybrid version is only just below the peak power of the Racing Puma, but the 1.0 ecoboost produces considerably more torque in normal mode. Put it into Sport mode and the torque increases to just below Fiesta ST levels.

I think I need to see it in the flesh before fully deciding. I did always want a Racing Puma back in the day!
