    I’ve found this little box.

apparently it should be easy to install and dial in and then you’ve got auto-blip on downshift.

    what’s your thoughts on this?

and yeah yeah i know – why not just do heal and toe?

i’m 2 meters tall and use a euro size 49 in shoes, so i’m not really build for heal and toe. At least that’s the excuse i’m going with for not mastering that skill.

It’s a nice touch like my friends Audi which has this gear change throttle blip. But at $395 plus shipping I’ll continue using my foot

    RS Edition.

I am about 6ft 4in with shoes on and also like you have pretty big feet, I get where you are coming from. The pedal spacing is good it’s just the relative heights between them. It is completely possible, I find you just need to angle your foot more than normal.

Have you considered using a accelerator pedal spacer to help bring the level of the accelerator up slightly closer to height on the brake pedal?

    Hi Robin-c,

I’ve heard about those spacers, but i feel like i’m already maxing out the available leg room, so I don’t really see that as an option for me.

But I do agree with white-rs2 – this auto-blip box is an expensive solution – but a pretty awesome one in my opinion.

There is a difference in rev matching vs. heel-toe.

When I down shift, I step on the clutch; while depressed I blip the gas to match the rev when it’s on a lower gear.

I do have two gas pedal spacers on mine: YourLittleCNCShop (.375 inch) and Damon Motorsports (.75 inch).

They are not too bad. But honestly I don’t have the opportunity to heal toe as much on regular driving other than when I enter a clover leaf on-ramp.

And what I learned from the Instructors at Ford Performance Racing School, which they also proved that when you are on the track and really need to heel/toe, once you smash the brake pedal it will be low enough to blip the gas while braking.

I don’t think i understand what you mean nicklulu?

So what are you saying the difference is between rev-matching vs. heel and toe?

My apologies if my last post was all over the place.

The Auto-blip looks cool, it’s similar to the Rev matching feature that comes standard on the Civic Type R.

When down shifting on my RS, I usually rev match. It’s not too hard, well it was at first. Like left foot braking, practice till it becomes muscle memory.

I usually do this on my daily drive.

Heel /toe though, due to the traffic here in San Diego there is not much opportunity to brake hard and accelerate. Stock gas pedal height is less to be desired. On my old Evo IX it was a breeze to heel/toe. So I bought a yourlittlecncshop gas pedal spacer.375 inch to try to help. It was still too low for me. so I bought a Damon Motorssports gas pedal spacer .75 inch. It’s easier to do it, but still don’t have the need on regular street driving, other than when i a going on a clover leaf exit and give at least 5-7 car lengths from the car in front of me since the RS accelerate fast!

I am 5’9.5″ with 9.5 size shoes. The gas pedal spacers does not bother me at all. Even on a 4 hour drive or daily stop and go traffic.

I also want to point out the in the track, when you smash your brake pedal it will be low enough to easily blip the gas pedal. Instructors from the Ford Racing Performance School told us that before the course, I was skeptical at first. But in the track, they proved me wrong. We used stock RS. Knowing and trusting the cars capability is key. Learning how to utilize it to its full potential will be your advantage. They drive ST/RS/GT in the course. They wield the cars as like an extension of theme selves.  I probably just utilize 20-30% of the RS potential.

I practice rev matching and heel/toe as much as I can. Double clutching is not needed on the RS or most modern transmission cars.

I would put the monies on something else rather than getting an auto-blip.
