Had a bit of a dust up with a black focus mk2 ST ,last Saturday ,

i am running dreamscience ultima 2+ with mods ..this ST was f#ing quick. ..he couldn’t pull away ,but I couldn’t catch him nether…by the look of it he’s spent some money on it …

so put on dreamscience ultima 3 , and got this turbosmart wastgate to put on …still got sports car to go on,when lockdown

is over …?

MK2 ST’s can be made pretty rapid for cheap! I had one years ago – a few of the tuners do kits to around 350 bhp for under £2.5k.

I imagine they’re a bit lighter than a Mk3 RS as well. I seem to recall an MP260 ST doing pretty well against a standard RS in an EVO magazine test.

I have had ..two ..mk2 ST focus ,one face lift ..chip ,decat ,exhaust , nippy , owned mk2 green focus RS ,Collins 400 bhp package…

now mk3 RS focus ..around 400 bhp….

think the black ST …I followed must have been well over 400 bhp…

After 400bhp both the Mk2 ST & RS get really expensive to modify. Most simple stop at 400.

New wastgate fitted now …bit of a pain to do but all done….dropped the little cur clip twice , but lucky to fine it ..
