    Hi!

Is there any counter available in the ECU for made launches that is accessible via ELM327?

    Thanks!

    Best Regards, Per-Anders.

If I am right your service department at Ford’s can tell if you have launch your car. So it’s possible to access it if you know someone who can help. Good luck ?

I wonder how it counts, i have launched less than 5 times, but i have activated the system many times, just to hear the sounds, and then drive away normally.

It would be interesting to know if its possible to find out if ones car has been launched, especially for owners who bought new and have never launched.

@tony, I do not know what System Ford’s have to check the number of launches But when I took mind for service/MOT  and asked for all the latest updates the foreman who I knew vey well said they could see I was Enthusiastic Driving a couple of time ??? They could see from data I hit the limiter on occasion.

Well I have never launched mine and I know the tech hasn’t either, when it landed at the docks it may have been that’s the only time it could have been.

@bobcat – Interesting to know. When my dealership reopens I’ll ask the techi but could be awkward as they no I drive like grandad. Not launched mine and definitely been nowhere near that red bit on the rev counter. lol.

tonys !! to be fair I dont go up to the redline in mine much/if at all now either , its not really worth it , not much difference in changing up around 6 instead !  Whereas in the Escort, I use the red area as the “power band” and I’m in there all the time !! 😎

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

@bda – The last time I was in that red zone was many many years ago courtesy of my then much cherrished 1972 Mk1 Escort RS1600 therefore I know exactly what you mean. Oh how she loved ‘the red zone’
