    HI Folks,

What do you use to clean etc. on black trim e.g. fog light surrounds, rear diffuser etc for best results?

    Cheers

    Tom

@tomrs, I use black to black spray. I spray it on a cloth then wipe it over the trim. Others will have their own advice. Good luck ?

Just an APC at about 1:10 and a medium stiffness lug nut type brush.

I use either Surfex HD or Koch Chemie GS.

    Then protect with either:

    CarPro PERL

    Angelwax Elixr

    Gtechniq c4

    3M 303 Protectant

    etc.

Dave, what about the matt/sheen rear spoiler surface? Ive never put anything on that, when I wash the car it has no wax or water repellant qualities at all at the moment, recommend anything thats not going to make it all shiny or change its appearance?

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

I used C4 on all the plastics. Bloody expensive but it does last. PERL is very good and should be diluted. A small bottle will last years.

Neither are shiny (PERL can be if used neat) but just darken the plastic.

I don’t use anything on the rear defuser, spoiler, or dash just wipe the dash over with a synthetic leather, only black trim I do treat is the roof rails the trim either side of the windscreen and door to window rubber trim.
