HI,

I UNINSTALL THE DRIFT STICK FROM MY FORD FOCUS RS. I WANT TO INSTALL IT IN A FRIEND’S CAR AND IT GIVES ME AN ERROR. I WANT TO KNOW IF THE DRIFT STICK CAN BE INSTALLED IN ANOTHER CAR OR EACH DRIFT STICK IS INDIVIDUAL FOR A NUMBER OF

yes, my car is european, buy the drift stick in mountune usa and it worked without problem. I now want to install it in another car and it doesn’t work

The drift stick is once installed it’s locked to that car and cannot be transferred to another car.

Yep, its married and cannot be divorced from the original car……

There is a company that was able to pair it to another RS though.

Is there no way it can work in another car?

Rebooting the VIN ??

I think it is a very expensive piece to only work in a car.

You can try to reach out to Ford.

On another forum I am a member, Nutron helped some DS owners to get it re programmed to another RS.

Ford Racing Parts told me that they are not authorized to reset a VIN, perhaps Nutron can help me. I am going to consult it.
