Number plate

I’ve recently bought a couple of plate cover from performance ford , and new plates had a bit of trouble fitting rear to car due to bolt insert sticking out , suppose we have Germans to blame , as car manufacturer there,I used a few sticky pad to improve the look , as gaps either side, any of you guys got a easy fix ,let me know
