Title says all, looking for any help or experience with this.

Recently purchases the m380 handset for my 18plate RS , Plugged it in and followed all the steps correctly , clicked on the m380 map and it started to install. it got to around 25-26% and said the “Accessport is not connected” and that i need to now “Recover” the cars map back to normal before i start again.

So i check and everythings fine , i click on “Recover” and again it starts an install bar and this time it hits 12% and says the same message about the accessport.

tells me to recover it again.

So triple checked it and everything is fine and plugged correctly and fine.

but this time when i click on recover it just boots me back to the main menu.

Anyone had anything like this? im at my wits end and the cars just sitting dead with unable to do anything.

    any help will be appreciated.

have you got an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser or anything that could be cutting in after a certain time and killing the obd port off?

looking at more instal vids and it seems my initial fault happened while saving the Stock ECU map before the m380 installs.

Dunno why that would lock me out of Recovery mode though

i dont know why it saves the stock map as ive asked mountune in the past if it could be put back to standard via the handset and they said no it cant, but on the newer handsets for the puma etc it can

Presume there is not a dummy OBD port in place complicating matters

Mention this as a while back neighbours son was trying to upload a new map, as power was present he was convinced it was a map issue. After a coffee and why would it do this I found the a Very convincing dummyOBD port was in place.

    long shot but……

    hope you get sorted

May the Ford be with you

i had that with a previous car,it wouldnt connect at all after trying loads of times,in the end i found a dummy port too, although if that was the case here then it wouldnt start to load it at all id have thought

    its the genuine OBD port.

it failed during the stock ecu download which is what has gubbed my car id imagine.

but it also failed trying to recover and now i cant even do that.

Its genuinely blowing my mind as ive scoured the web and found noone with the same issue.

Cant phone moutune untill tomorrow. its been since friday and the cars been stuck there since 😂

i did pair it yea ,

spoke to moutine and sent them my handset info to sent to COBB,

I mailed COBB. theyvre replied and said about a battery charger etc. which ive tried and still no avail.

No idea what i can do apart from Try Ford and get a stock map back on it.

    Update.

Recntly got an Unistall key from Mountune.

So the handsets back to wanting to Install the map but its stuck on “Verify ignition is in ON position”

    So im still stuck.

Pretty sure the ECUs bricked even though i have ignition.
