Hello to everyone, I’m a newbie to the forum and to the RS itself, I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions but I’ll make sure I search first as I’m sure it’s all been asked before. I purchased my RS today and am collecting on Sunday, although when I woke up this morning I didn’t know I was buying an RS today, I got an email from the dealer I’d been talking to saying he just got in a brand new unregistered RS in NB with all the options apart from sunroof and city stop (2 things I wasn’t bothered about), and did I want to come have a look. I knew if I was interested I needed to get it registered today being the 31st So off I went this afternoon to the dealer, took their demonstrator out for a test drive, 30 minutes later and I’m signing the paper work. So roll on Sunday, can’t wait.

Sitting here waiting to be picked up by a friend who is taking me to collect my car, he’s coming at 11 and I swear it feels like time has stopped, iv lost count of the times iv looked at my watch.

i went to bed last night around 12 and at 3am I was still wide awake, talk about feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve, in the end I got up and made a cup of tea and watched tv, went back to bed at 5 and was up at 7.

so I’m shattered but excited, roll on 11.

Well I collected the car from the dealer, put a few miles on the clock visiting friends and show her off.

The drive felt great and I even heard a few pops & crackles without overdoing it,

the only problem I have is when I switched from normal to sport I got a warning come up saying tyre pressure monitoring system not found, I pulled over and went in to the settings and it said no tyre pressure set so I pressed ok to set it thinking maybe this needed doing as it was new, but half hour later when coming off a motorway I again went from normal to sport and I got the same warning again.

Does anyone know what the problem is before I contact the dealer ?

Sounds like it’s had a new tyre on or there is a fault with one of the sensors which is setting it off. I’d make an appointment to drop it back in and let them take a look at it. Also check that the pressures are set correctly.

It happened twice on the first day and hasn’t happened since, touch wood & fingers crossed it stays that way.

Yes Chris I know it’s off center, as you so gratefully pointed out lol
