hi, I wonder, how can I turn off the auto folding feature of the mirrors when i lock/unlock my car?

Right now its below zero here in Sweden and the mirrors freeze and get stuck and its abit annoying.

There is a solution, place a cloth around the base of the door mirror (in the open position) and spray WD40 or your equivalent between the swivel body parts. Good luck.

Hope someone can advise you how to switch them off.

Might be able to do it in Foccus or Forscan software, I don’t know…

    Or bribe your dealer

Can be disabled via IDS at the dealership I am sure or unplug them?

A method to stop them opening automatically and thus you have time to defrost them before they open: close the mirrors using the drivers side controls, get out and lock the car, then unlock it, get back in and open them manually, then they will no longer operate automatically.

You can turn them off with ucds or something similar that enables you to modify the asbuilt data try and find someone in your location with ucds is my best advice you’ll need to change the power fold mirror option to without power fold mirrors

Kenny the mk2 in the video is using a custom firmware that was installed by ucds as he’s using the fob to fold them and mk2 Didn’t ford the mirrors on locking with the fob from factory it was the ucds guys who wrote the custom firmware for the door module
