    Hi all

Ive had my RS for a couple of months and so far I’ve replaced,

    • Air filter ‘Green filter’
    • gearbox mount or roll resister, I fitted the more solid type from the electric fiesta or focus
    • mountunes turbo noise suppressor, it had the nasty whistle after fitting the Green Air filter
    • Air intake pipe with blue hoses from mountune, I had to wait until they had stock
    • i also replaced the gear knob for a solid aluminium one that’s heavier than original.

i will be doing the recirculation valve and mountune tune next, not going to do much more.

Did you notice any difference with the gearbox roll resistor?

thats exactly what I was going to ask fiat20vcoupe !! I went in a mountune car with the roll restrictor and it made it harsh at idle and initial pull away, seemed to vibrate through the car at idle, when I got back in my std car , at idle I could not feel or hear  it running so its not a mod for me, probably ok for track or if you like just doing mods I guess !

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Fitted the MT RR to mine,  only notice a small vibration increase if it’s idling with the air con on or my foot on the brake dragging the rpm down. An idle speed increase if possible would sort even that out.  Has made the car feel a bit tighter and positive, was a gamble as it seems to affect some cars more than others   (I must have good smooth engine 😉   no regrets so far.

It starts to get really expensive I’m over £12k in on mods so far and that’s just stopping, handling and in preparation of more power (no engine work yet).

Not looking forward to the engine costs  one bit – Short block full L&B, going steel, LC pistons, full race head (but valve guides put in after porting) BP285 cam kit, vernier pulleys, block brace, larger head bolts bigger turbo capable of 600whp & custom map.

Cars cost a small fortune, you mod that so you have to change this and so on and on and on it goes ???????

    RS Edition.

    FPM375 Rocks

The rest of the “M” maps suck

I haven’t noticed any difference with the rolling resistor. I replaced it because I replaced it in my old focus ST, it stopped the banging while pulling off fast, but the RS doesn’t have the same issue due to being better quality mount anyway.

’not doing much more lol’ my famous last words

I am always looking at ‘online shops’ for what ever looks good.

Mountune are always ‘out of stock’ so annoying but they are a rip off.

I have on order, should be here in a month or so,

    • 1 set of blue mud flaps
    • An RS gear knob
    • 1 set of rubber mats that fit in all the interior little compartments
    • 2 faraday bags
    • Exhaust valve terminate plug.

my wife whines about anything I do with th RS, she would have to go before the RS lol.

living in Perth Australia, we are isolated a bit, so it takes a while to get anything delivered.

Im getting the rear lights next, all LED
